Teachers have degrees in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, and/or a field of study related to Education. Many associates and assistants have degrees in education but are acquiring more experience in the classroom. Others have a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or are in the process of obtaining one. All staff members have CPR and First Aid Training. All administrators and several members from our teaching teams have certificates in Safe Food Handling Practices and specialized training in health screening.
Staff training is continuous. All staff members receive a minimum of 40 hours of training per year. Before being hired, all staff must submit an incident free FBI criminal background clearance, child registry report, and police clearance. Staff members are also required to have three positive references, documentation of all credentials, and a favorable health report ensuring they are free from any communicable diseases including TB. All staff members are subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing. All screenings and reports are updated annually.
