SAECC Program Introduction

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to St. Alban’s Early Childhood Center (SAECC).  We are confident that your child will have a nurturing and stimulating child care experience with us.

SAECC is economically and ethnically diverse. Our 55 children and their families reflect the demographics of our region.  Committed to diversity in the areas of ethnicity, religion, gender, economics, and culture, we provide resources to ensure that families can access our program and fund the cost.  Our staff members are equally diverse.  Together, we provide an atmosphere in which all individuals are valued and respected.

We are accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  All aspects of our program are based on the industry’s best practices, NAEYC’s recommended guidelines, and the Department of Health’s licensing standards.  Our educational program includes:  creative expression, languages, reading readiness, math, science, music, outdoor play and socio-emotional development.

Each teaching team implements the Creative Curriculum in an age appropriate manner.  Supportive by the Assistant Director and the Executive Director, each child is given an opportunity to progress along the continuum to ensure optimal development in the areas of social emotional, cognitive, physical, and language.

Parents are welcomed in the classroom and are encouraged to implemented complimentary home-extension activities or reinforce monthly themes by sharing a talent in the classroom or participating in our room readers program.  Supplemental experiences are provided to parents through an array of professionally facilitated workshops to ensure that children are receiving consistent messages.
